A Great Fucking Year!

Cheers to everyone here for 2017.

What a crazy idea...

When I started aerial back in 2014, I had SOO many embarrassing moments and so many embarrassing questions. I didn't have a discreet place to look for answers on how to not bleed on an apparatus or if I was the only person jealous of other people. I would find myself talking 1:1 with other aerialists during open gyms and was stunned we all had the same questions. In April of this year, I launched a website to look at all things Feminist Fitness and Contemporary Circus, and you lovely people subscribed to it.
That's why I'm not surprised that out all the articles posted, the top three are all related to those embarrassing ass questions! What I am surprised about is how many people not only read it, but shared with their friends and family. This year was so much more success than I could ever imagine. Thank you to all 6,322 of you who have viewed the site this year! Here are the top 3 articles.

One of the top visited articles this year was the second run of Circus on Your Period. So many people had heard about Thinx panties, but didn't know how they related to aerial and more importantly, if they could be trusted to be worn while on someone else's equipment. This article had the MOST shares on Facebook accounts and was one of the first times I had over 1,000 views. You guys rock.

Shine Theory and Jealousy in Aerial Arts. By far my most personal article yet. It was the first time I worked with getting imaging from other artists for a series and I LOVED how it turned out. It's one of my favorites this year from all the personal messages I got from people who understood I wrote this to normalize feelings. It meant the world to me that so many people knew where I was coming from.

Ahh. And finally. The article that made me feel like this could one day be a full time gig. I published it, on a whim to the "Safety and Aerial Arts" page on FB and was GASSED at how many views and how engaged people were! It was the first article about circus on your period, and it was Prevalent that ya'll wanted more information.

For 2018 I'm excited to announce that brands are now sending me products for reviews and I was able to sell merchandise at Seattle's first Aerial Festival! What is happening??!

Be sure to subscribe and stay in touch for 2018 <3 BECAUSE I STILL HAVE WAY TOO MUCH INSPIRATION AND FUCKS TO GIVE AND WANT YOU TO BE HERE FOR IT!!!
